Flight Planning with TopTask
TopTask is an advanced XC flight planner for simulating paragliding and gliding flights based on the thermal forecasts of XC Therm. Plan and optimize cross-country routes by analyzing thermals, wind and weather conditions with precise 5-day soaring forecasts. In addition to route simulation, TopTask visualizes advanced forecast parameters to provide deeper insight into flight conditions.
TopTask was offered as part of the former DWD TopTherm tool and has been relaunched by XC Therm in 2024. TopTask is a desktop application primarily aimed at ambitious pilots who want to plan their flights in detail and is available with the XC Therm "Expert" subscription. Compared to XC Therm, additional parameters such as zero degree limit, inversions or PFD curves are available.
